    1. What is a CallMyWay line?

      The CallMyWay line is a telephone number for Costa Rica from which you can make or receive calls, from and to anywhere in the world. Incoming calls are free and outgoing calls are charged at the rates published by CallMyWay.

    4. How long do I have to wait from the moment I request my CallMyWay line to get it?

      From the moment your CallMyWay line is requested, it is automatically and immediately generated.

    5. What are the requirements for hiring an IP telephony service for home use?

      The IP telephony service requires a Broadband Internet service and ATA equipment, and ab IP PHONO or SOFTPHONE. You can also redirect calls from the CallMyWay line to a conventional telephone, be it landline or cellular.

    6. What are the CallMyWay bank accounts?

    7. How much is the minimum money that I have to keep in my account monthly to use the virtual line?

      • A minimum consumption of 2$ US or its equivalent in colones, is required regarding the right of the line. If the stated amount is not used, then that amount is deducted from the account.

      • If the account is not in use you can keep it as long as your want without generating any charges. All that will happen is you will get a daily email reminding you that your balance is below the notification threshold.

      • Even so, if your account has been configured with a CallMyWay line, month to month the respective charge will be reduced to the use of the line until your accounts balance is equivalent to zero. Once your account balance equals zero, if the account does not receive funds to cover the applicable charges for the CallMyWay line, it will not generate further charges.

      • You can reuse it the minute you add funds into the account. If the account remains without a balance, the assigned number or numbers are removed from the account. If want to reactivate account and recover the lost number later on, this is possible, as long as it has not been assigned to another customer.

    8. What is the rate for international calls?

      If you still do not have an account with CallMyWay: the price for international calls can be seen on our homepage http://www.callmyway.com/, in the rates option. If you already have an account with CallMyWay: the price of calls is displayed in in the “Balance” section of your CallMyWay account. Either way, the rates that apply can be seen in the “Balance” section.

    9. What is the price of local calls with a virtual line?

      The price is the one published in the rates section and the charge applies to the destination called.

      Said rates do not exceed the maximum rates authorized by the Costa Rican Telecommunications Superintendence (SUTEL).

    10. What is the cost of call forwarding of a CallMyWay line?

      The call forwarding charge depends on the destination to which the call has been forwarded and is charged to the owner of the account that made the forwarding, hence, who receives the call.

    11. How do I calculate the cost of a CallMyWay line call?

      • The cost of the call is equal to multiplying the number of minutes the call lasted by the rate of the call. Remember that the time expressed in seconds must be divided by 60 to obtain its equivalent in minutes.

      • Note that the call rate refers to CallMyWay rates for both local and international calls.

      • For example: If a call was made to the United States that lasted 22 minutes and 38 seconds and the rate is 9.9 colones / minute (it is an example), the cost of the call is equal to: ¢ 224.07

      • Remember the conversion that is made from seconds to minutes and that is divided by 60 since 1 minute is equivalent to 60 seconds, for example, in the previous case it was obtained that 38 seconds, is equivalent to 0.63 minutes.

      • If I my balance runs out, can calls come in? If the account is active you can receive calls. If the calls are redirected to an external site, they are not received.

      • If I spend all of my balance, for how long is my account still active? At the moment the account is not deactivated, that is, even if you do not deposit funds, your account is still available for use.

    12. What is the cost of calls between CallMyWay lines?

      Calls between CallMyWay users are usually free.

    13. What is the equipment or applications that I need in order to use the service?

      The equipment or applications needed are ATA, IP Phonos and Softphone.

    14. What is an ATA?

      An ATA means “Analog Telephone Adapter”. This equipment allows you to connect a conventional analog phone to a Voice over the Internet network. An ATA can have from one to many ports or simultaneous conversations.

    15. What is an IP Phono?

      It is an equipment similar to a conventional telephone with different functionalities (depending on the model and type), with the difference that it connects to a data network and to a Internet telephony service allowing telephone calls over an IP network.

    16. What is a Softphone?

      It is software that is installed on a computer or Smart Phone and that allows calls to be made over the Internet. How do I purchase an ATA or IP PHONO equipment? You must request it to the telephone number 40004000, Telemarketing department. It can also be purchased with any other provider of IP telephony equipment in SIP protocol.

    17. Where do I get the Softphone?

      This application can be directly downloaded from the website www.callmyway.com found in the downloads section.

    18. How much does the Softphone cost?

      There are some free of charge that operate with the CallMyWay service, others the charge varies by provider.

    19. What is the value or ATA or IP Phone equipment? Are there installation costs?

      The installation process is fairly simple so the customers can do it themselves. If the user requires the visit of a technician, this has an additional charge which is negotiated on a case-by-case basis according to the quantity of equipment and the customer’s location.

    20. Are there any credit terms or payment options for the purchase of ATA and IP Phonos equipment?

      Yes, we have Credomatic’s zero rate (tasa cero) up to 3, 6 or 9 months. We also have an additional-financing system of mini dues system from 12 to 36 months with comfortable interest rates.

    21. Can I make calls from my computer to a telephone in another country?

      Yes, as long as your account has sufficient funds, calls can be made from your computer to anywhere in the world (landline or cell phone). To make these you must install the applicable Software.

    22. Can I make calls abroad?

      You can call anywhere in the world to landlines or cell phones.

    23. Can I have a number in the United States, other countries, or just in Costa Rica?

      Yes you can have a number in the USA and in more than 60 countries across the globe.

    24. If I buy a CallMyWay line, can I send text messages from my cell phone?

      The CallMWay service does not allow the sending of text messages

    25. Why can’t I receive international calls to my CallMyWay phone number?

      It could be because the telephone service provider from where the call originates has not enabled routing. In this case you must request to said provider that outgoing calls need to enable the number 506+4000 xxxx. Currently, almost all operators worldwide have the route enabled.

    26. What are the IP Telephony services for cell phones?

      The CallMyWay services for a mobile phone can be used in the following cases: Install in your phone the SIP software. In order to use this software you must have a smart phone, and great internet access when making or receiving the call. Pre-selection of Operator service, which allows calls to be made from a conventional landline or mobile phone through CallMyWay by dialing 1900 before the number you wish to call.

      To use this service, it is not necessary to have a smartphone, nor is it necessary to have a broadband internet service. Call forwarding system, which allows you to receive calls to a conventional landline or mobile phone, that is, calls directed to a CallMyWay number, can be redirected to a conventional or cellular phone anywhere in the world. The redirection charge for that call is assumed by the owner of the CallMyWay account. In these cases, it is not necessary to have a broadband internet service.

      The Pre-selection of Operator service is a possibility offered to those who have a conventional line, be it fixed, prepaid or post-paid mobile, to choose CallMyWay as their telephony service provider.

    2. How do I acquire the Pre-selection of Operator service?

      You must have a prepaid CallMyWay account and enter it by dialing your “Username” and “Password” in the boxes located in the upper right corner in the CallMyWay homepage. The account must have sufficient funds to make the call. Enter the “Pre-selection of Operator” option through the icon located to the left of your screen. Register on this page the telephone numbers from which you will be making your calls.

      If you try to register a Caller-ID and the system does not allow it, it is probably because it has already been registered in another account, for this reason we ask you to contact us to find a resolution for this issue.

    9. What is the cost for an international call using a landline or cell phone with the Pre-selection of Operator service?

      The cost per minute of an international call using the Pre-selection of Operator service is: The cost of a fixed local call + CallMyWay rate corresponding to the destination country, for landline phone. The cost of a local cellular call + CallMyWay rate corresponding to the destination country, for cell phone. International calling rates are available on the website www.callmyway.com.

    10. Can my Caller-ID appear as private?

    1. What does the number that starts with 8 and is 7 digits mean?

      It refers to the number with which an IP telephony line is identified in the Call My Way system. This number is also known as a SIP or End Point entity and is represented by a number that starts with 8 + 6 digits and is equivalent to the customer's user number. This number is a CallMyWay convention and cannot be modified by the client. If I already have an account with Call My Way,

      You must request the creation of a new End Point through an email to support@callmyway.com from the email that is registered in your account

    3. Can I activate my CallMyWay line simultaneously for my home, cell phone and company?

      Yes, you may have as many numbers as you want in the CallMyWay account. In this case, you must request an End Point or SIP Entity (a number that starts with 8 + 6 digits) for each of the options where you want to use it, that way you can use it simultaneously in 3 different places (cell phone, company, House).

    4. Can I have an End Point assigned to several CallMyWay numbers?

      Yes you can have an End Point assigned to various CallMyWay numbers.

    5. Can I have a CallMyWay number assigned to multiple End Point numbers?

      Not Possible.

    6. How do I buy a CallMyWay line with special numbering?

      When you request for your number on the CallMyWay page, there is an option of on-demand numbers where you can choose the number you want from those available. This option has an additional charge of $10 US or its equivalent in colones, which applies when a number is selected. In case there is no number available, it can be requested through the traditional system with random number creation.

    7. Can I connect a ATA directly to a Router?

      It can be connected directly to a router as this will supply the internet connection

    8. Which are the smart phone brands use to have a CallMyWay number?

      Any smartphone that has SIP telephony software is available and compatible with the CallMyWay service.

    9. How does a Central IP work (Auto Attendant)?

      A central IP is an automated system that allows, through recordings and menus, the control of incoming and outgoing calls of your home or business. Calls can be redirected towards extensions or other menus. The central telephony provides voicemail, interactive menu, Caller-ID, call transfers, recording personalization, adapts to working hours and holidays, amongst other functions.

    10. Is the IP Central the only way to get extensions on my line?

      No, within the Call My Way account you can configure extensions directly without having to have an IP Central. Remember that the IP central, due to its complexity and functionalities, is recommended to be used as a complement to the communication system at a business or corporate level. For this reason, if all you need is a system of extensions, it can be done from the user interface.

    11. How do I sign up for Call My Way?

      Enter the website www.callmyway.com and register through the “Register” option and fill out the displayed form. Once the form is completed, you will be contacted by CallMyWay to complete the subscription, later your username and password will be sent to your email.

      Verify that the procedure you are doing to enter the website is as follows: Enter the address www.callmyway.com in the address bar of your internet browser. Enter your user number in the corresponding boxes. Remember that your user number is a 7-digit number that starts with 8. Enter your password. If possible please type it number by number instead of copying and pasting it from somewhere else.

    13. What happens if I forget the username and password of my CallMyWay account?

      It is not a problem, you may fin an option to retrieve your account’s username and password from the CallMyWay page, which is sent to the email address linked to your account.

    14. How do I add money to my account?

      To add money into your CallMyWay account, you must enter it using your “username” and “password” in the boxes located on the upper right corner of the homepage. Subsequently, enter the recharge option found in the "Balance" tab.

      In this section, you can observe the different ways in which you can add a balance to your CallMyWay accounts, which are: Top-up with a bank deposit? You can credit your account by means of a bank deposit to any of our CallMyWay bank accounts. Once the deposit or transfer has been made, you must report it through the "Notify bank deposit" option found in the “Recharge" section of the "Balance" tab.

      To report a deposit you must enter the corresponding information of: amount, deposit number, bank name, bank account and the date corresponding to the deposit. Recharge by credit card: To use it, click on the desired amount to be recharged in the box entitled "Recharge with credit card" and the user will be sent to a site outside our site, which is an online store that processes the transaction.

      Once the transaction is finished you will be redirected to the CallMyWay website.

    15. Why can’t I access the page from my cell phone?

      In this case, the customer must check his internet connection and End Point configuration.

    16. How do I set up extensions on my line without using the IP Central?

      To create an extension go to the option "Dial By Extension" found in the Account tab. Then click on "New" and complete the corresponding information. Remember that an extension can be a SIP (End Point) entity or a conventional telephone number and that the number of digits recommended for an extension are 2, 3 and 4, it cannot be a single digit, and if it is 4 digit number it cannot start with the number “1”.

    17. Where do I enable or disable the option to receive notifications once my balance is low?

      Login to your CallMyWay session. Select the "My info" option found in the "Account" tab. Then, in the box titled "Service Details" activate or deactivate the option "Send low balance email". All emails include a link that deactivates the option of sending low-balance emails simply by clicking on it.

    18. Do you have lines for cellular phones?

      No, we currently operate local CallMyWay lines that basically work over the internet, however these can be configured to ring on your cell phone through call forwarding or through software installed on your mobile phone.

    19. Does Call My Way sell cellular phones?

      No, we currently only sell ATA or IP Phonos devices

    20. Is the cost of the monthly payment for international numbers usable?

      No, it is a month fee to keep your number active.

    21. What is the cost of calls from an international CallMyWay number to a local international number?

      When the call goes from an international CallMyWay number to an international local number, the cost of the call is can be found on the CallMyWay page for each country. If the call goes from an international local number to an international CallMyWay number, the cost of the call is determined by the telephone service operator of that country.
